OAKMONT COMMUNITY SWAMP RATS SWIM TEAM
Swamp Water Aquatics Gainesville is excited to announce we will be partnering with the Oakmont Neighborhood once again for the Swamp Rats Swim team.
This is a Developmental Swim Team to focus on form and technique for all 4 competitive swim strokes as well as starts and turns. We promise to make it a challenging, but FUN environment for all.
MAXIMUM of 21 swimmers per group and limited to Oakmont resident only. Ages 5+.
When:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, August 23rd through October 13th
Meet is Thursday, October 13th at 4 p.m. (Weather make-up day is Thursday, October 20th.) We built
in a couple extra weeks assuming we will have some weather days.
Ages:
Junior Swamp Rats (based on ability level)
practice from 4:15-5:00, must be able to confidently swim 25 yards continuously.
Senior Swamp Rats (based on ability level) practice
5:00-6:00, must be able to swim 25 yards of at least
3 of the 4 competitive strokes with some proficiency.
**If not previously on Senior team you may only register with approval from Coach Karyn**
Groups are based not on age, but ability level, ability to follow instructions and swim endurance.
Equipment Needed:
Swim fins and goggles the Finis Floating Fin, TYR Color Fin or a similar LONG swim fin required.
Cost:
$190 per Junior Swamp Rat and $220 per Senior Swamp Rat for the 8 week program. Includes swim cap, and swim meet with awards and
pizza party the final practice. Requires immediate payment via PayPal or contact us for other arrangements.
