Swamp Water Aquatics Gainesville is excited to announce we will be partnering with Oakmont Development for the 3rd year to offer private and semi private swim lessons for ages 3 to Adult.

Private Lessons For Youth

These are offered in packages of 5 lessons. They can be used for one swimmer or a semi private session for children or adult with similar skill sets.Families can schedule one to two lessons per week and also have some flexibility if going out of town. 

Cost: $150 for 5 x 30 minute private or semi private lessons

Adult Learn To Swim And Adult Private Lessons

We offer Adult lessons from the adult who is a brand new learner who may have anxiety around water/swimming as well as to form technique for the budding lap swimmer or triathlete.

Cost: $150 for 5 x 30 minute privates, you can also do a shared lesson with someone of similar ability level

Head Coach

Karyn Austin is the Head Coach and Founder of Swamp Water Aquatics Gainesville. She has over 25 years of swim coaching experience. She is a Full Time Triathlon and Swim Coach. She loves sharing her passion for swimming with ALL ages and ability levels. She is a USA Triathlon Level 2 Coach, US Master’s Swimming Level 3 Coach, Swim Smooth Certified Coach, and a USMS Adult Learn to Swim Certified Coach

Assistant Coach

We are very excited to welcome Teel Hartmann to our coaching staff this summer! Teel swam competitively for 20 years at all levels. She was 4 year letterman at Marshall University. She has over 7 years of coaching experience from summer league, club level, and also coached at Marshall University as interim Head Coach and also as an Assistant Coach. Teel has recently started swimming Masters with SWAG upon her move to Gainesville and is so excited to share her experience, love of swimming and passion to our program.

We will hold classes in the rain, but if there is lightening within 10 miles of the pool during class time we will cancel (we will use the Weather Bug lightning tracker for this). As we all know, this is a part of Florida summers. We will guarantee a make up for one class, and do our best if scheduling permits to make up any additional. Parents will be notified via text message when we cancel.
